About Us
Our Founders

Joseph and Marion Langevin
Joseph’s parents migrated from France to Canada, only allowed to bring a few of their children with them. Joseph was born in Montreal Canada in 1905. He migrated to the United States in 1919 with a trade of printing. He learned English from the Webster Dictionary. Joseph met Marion Tanner when she was age 17 while residing in Michigan and two weeks, just after turning 18 married. They learned to thrive through the Great Depression due to their Judeo-Christian ethics. Marion, whose mother died giving birth to her, was adopted by a paternal uncle and aunt due to her biological father not being able to care for her properly. She grew up in a loving environment and for a brief time worked as a practical nurse. The Langevin family then having three sons and one daughter, packed up and moved from the harshness of the winters of Michigan to sunny California. Joseph being a hard-working, innovated entrepreneur began to expand his core values of hard work, being thrifty and honest, avoiding debt, establishing a future for his family/wife and beyond and social consciousness. Joseph and Marion saw the value of being self-employed and real estate ownership. They had several real estate holdings, that rented modest, clean units to individuals under the national poverty level. They continued to reside and thrive in California, optimizing opportunities. After multiple chronic illnesses, Joseph died at the age of 73 in1978 and Marion continued to expand the family values until she died at age 90 in 2000.

Dieter and Joette Frankenberger
As the daughter of Joseph and Marion, Joette born in 1940 grew up under the watchful hand and understanding of the family values. She was raising three daughters with the help of her parents, when she met Dieter and they married in 1968, they added a son to the family. Joette obtained her real estate license, then broker’s license, expanding into three offices in Southern California. Dieter embodied some of the same core values of his wife’s parents. Dieter, who was born in East Germany in 1937, migrated to the U.S. at age 18, utilizing the craft and trade of glass grinding. Dieter did not speak English well when he first migrated to the States. He adopted Joette’s daughters and began to embrace the Judeo-Christian values, overcoming many struggles with the death of his younger brother, alcoholism, and the stresses of an all-readymade family. Dieter and Joette remained married for 47 years until the death of Dieter in 2015. Dieter and Joette expanded the legacy of the Langevin foundation, equipping the next generation to succeed in real estate holdings that began the “Frankenberger/Langevin Help for Life” organization. Joette, who is presently still alive, has begun to pass the leadership to her children to further the founder’s values and expand the definition of what the founders envisioned to fit this current cultural demands and challenges.
